$1 any Gain dishsoap-reported to be .97 each
$1 any Tide-trial size reported to be under $1
$1 any Olay body wash-trial size reported to be under $1

Will be trying to order at Shaws to use the remainder on Mr. Clean liquid. Shaws is running a Buy 30 get 10 CAT offer. So a set of 8, using 4 bogo frees is 9.96 get 10 back.

I’d love to find somewhere to use the Dove or Tide Stain Release for a good deal. Might have to keep digging.

Shaws has two different Grill Mates products on sale this week. The seasoning packets are on sale for .50 each and the shaker bottles are on sale for .99 (except the salmon in some stores which is 20% off-bleh).

This past Sunday 4/18/2010 there was either a .50/1 or $1/2 McCormick Grill Mates products coupon in the paper. The .50/1 will double which makes the shakers free, or the packets if you don’t mind them not doubling.

These are delicious. We easily used 100 of these last year between our house and my parents (and they make a great gift for friends who love to grill). The Hawaiian Luau is amazing on pork or chicken. We also like the Garlic Herb&Wine on chicken. Hickory BBQ is our favorite for beef. There are three new flavors this year: Mexican Fiesta, Southwest, and Brown Sugar Bourbon. I can’t wait to try the Brown Sugar Bourbon on pork…..mmmmm.

You can use these with the given directions or my favorite way: make marinade, toss in meat and freeze. By time it defrosts for use the marinating time is done. Easy and simple.

You may have started to see and hear the hype behind stevia based sweeteners. You may already be drinking them in such products as Sobe Lifewater Zero Calorie drinks.

A name brand is Purevia, and it comes in 40 and 50 count packs. The 40 count is $2 at Market Baskets (located New England) and there is a coupon out in the 1/3/2010 Smartsource for $2 on any Purevia product.

I’ve been using stevia since I was a kid in the 80′s, when all we had was the dried herb. Extracts, powders and hybrids are relatively new to the market but much more convenient. Its sweeter than even artificial sweeteners and can be used by diabetics. And its kosher and gluten-free. Pick up a couple to try or donate to a food pantry or senior center.

go to www.purevia.com for a full FAQ

Many of you will be familiar with the phenomenon of Greek Yogurt. I have stood back as I found it to be a bit expensive to buy. However this week and next the sales and coupons aligned and I found myself in possession of coupons for both Oikos by Stonyfield Farm and Chobani.

Chobani is on sale at Shaws for .99 this week and the coupon is for $1 off. Chobani seems to be $1 or .99 at quite a few stores which explains why people buy coupons on Ebay for .40-.60 each. Its comes in a lovely range of flavors that include plain, vanilla, honey, strawberry, blueberry and pomegranate. Fruit on the bottom. Unfortunately I bought all pomegranate and the fruit includes the seeds and is cooked/processed. So big crunchy seeds get stuck in your teeth. Not bad if you avoid it.

Oikos is on sale for 1.29 each at Shaws next week and their coupon is also for $1 off. Oikos is just over $1 at most stores which similarly explains why their coupons are going for $1-2 per set of ten on Ebay. it comes in a range of flavors that includes plain, vanilla, honey, strawberry and blueberry. The ad says chocolate and caramel coming soon in the four pack. I’m looking forward to trying it out next week.

Greek yogurt also comes in a couple other brands such as Brown Cow. Its thicker and creamier than regular yogurt and silkier on the tongue if not a bit more tart. Kind of like tart sour cream (the full fat kind). Definitely a nice change from the watery junk they sell as yogurt these days.

So pick up a cup or two at a great cost and expand your horizons.
